Academic Advising Graduate Assistant Position, 10-20 hours per week, Undergraduate Education
Undergraduate Education offers a full-time Mason graduate student the exciting opportunity to work as a graduate assistant student wage employee for the remainder of the spring 2020 semester, with the potential for extension into the summer and following academic year. Undergraduate Education collaborates with Academic Advising units across campus, coordinates with the Mason Academic Advisors Network (MAAN) group, and is the office responsible for provost-level appeals, substitutions, and waivers for undergraduate students. The graduate assistant will be expected to provide support in tracking appeals, researching best practices in academic advisor training and CRMs, learning and using the current advising CRM – Navigate, curating content on the central advising website and other projects as they arise.
Preference will be given to applicants in the Higher Education program and/or with experience and interest in the field of academic advising.
