David Eifert

Each year, faculty in the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) come together to select an outstanding student in their program to receive the honor of being named as their program award winner. Students selected for this award embody the very best of their program: they excel in their studies; they demonstrate leadership in classes and internships; and they have a genuine and tenacious passion for their discipline.

Q & A with Outstanding Student in Learning Technologies – Instructional Design and Technology, David Eifert:

What part of your Mason experience are you most proud of?

I am most proud of going above and beyond the required coursework to complete an internship for credit toward my degree, and I am humbled to be receiving this award.

What are your future plans, goals, and dreams?

I look forward to continuing my passion of designing learning experiences in my new role as an instructional designer.

What is your favorite memory from your time in the College of Education and Human Development?

My favorite memory in CEHD is the Instructional Design & Technology panel discussion where professionals in the field offered advice to students in the program. It was exciting to hear about the vastness of the field and inspiring to hear their stories of success.

What advice do you have for fellow CEHD students?

Seek out advice and resources from your professors and GMU Career Services. They contain a wealth of knowledge!

Would you like to give any shout-outs to those who supported you along the way?

Thank you to my professors for their support and quality instruction they bring to this program, as well as my EDIT 732/752 team for making these last two semesters an enjoyable learning experience.

Congratulations and best of luck, David!
