Research Survey: Food Insecurity at George Mason

As part of the College of Education and Human Development’s continuing efforts to support student research here at George Mason University, we are sharing this research study participation request:

 

Dear fellow Mason Patriots,

My name is Candace Garthee and I am an undergraduate student conducting OSCAR research on the topic of food insecurity at George Mason. This research is important because it helps to fill a significant gap in the literature on food insecurity among college students, which one study found could be up to 36%. Knowing the scale of food insecurity at Mason is important in order to create a safe and healthy learning environment that addresses the needs of all students. 

If you are a currently-enrolled undergraduate student, please help contribute to this research by taking five minutes to complete this survey. In appreciation of your participation, you may choose to enter into a drawing for a $50 Amazon digital gift card upon completion of the survey. All survey responses will remain anonymous.

Research Survey: Sexual Assault on College Campuses

Sexual Assault on College Campuses – Anonymous Research Survey

You are invited to participate in a research study by completing an anonymous online survey examining unwanted sexual experiences during college.  We are seeking female undergraduate students to participate.  Your voice is very important, and we want you to feel comfortable answering the survey questions. The survey will be anonymous; we will not ask your name or collect any IP addresses. Participation in this study involves 10-15 minutes of your time.

The position is open to December graduates who could start in January, as well as current teachers.  The position is largely inclusion-based working with 9/10th graders. The Ivymount School serves over 200 students, ages 4 through 21, from throughout the Washington, DC area. For over 50 years, Ivymount has provided educational programs and therapeutic services for students with disabilities with the goal of enhancing the lives of our students through evidence-based instruction and interventions. Several programs are offered at Ivymount School to meet the wide range of needs throughout our student population.
