A message from Prince William County Public Schools:

The Prince William County School Division is excited to host Instructional Job Fairs on Friday, February 9 and Friday, February 23, 2018! Scroll down for more information on virtual events!

Registrants will be confirmed following receipt of an application for employment and based upon availability as space is limited.

Please note the following:

• If you have not submitted an application in the last two months, you must submit an application to be eligible for participation in this job fair.
• Due to limited space, you will receive an email confirming your participation.
• If your participation is not confirmed due to limited space, Prince William County Schools is still interested in considering your application for employment and encourages you to add vacancies of interest (most of which will begin to post in February) to your application.

Virtual Job Fair – February 22

This event provides an opportunity for prospective educators both near and far to learn more about the School Division, hiring process, anticipated vacancies, and ask questions any time between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Additionally, some of our 100 schools will be participating – registrants will be sent the schedule for school participation closer to the date. Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is an organization whose purposes are to unite women educators of the world and to advance the professional interests and positions of women in education; to stimulate the personal and professional growth of members and to inform the membership of economic, social, political, and educational issues to the end that they may become intelligent functioning members of a world society.  The Society is offering The Frances N. Wimer Grant, consisting of $2,000 paid directly to a rising junior, senior, or postgraduate at an accredited college/university who plans to pursue a teaching career.  Click here for more information and an application.

Educators’ Expo is an annual event sponsored by the University of Virginia Curry School of Education Career Services Office, and is open to all, even those unaffiliated with UVA. The Expo attracts approximately 400 education students from all academic levels. Generally 75-100+ organizations (including public school divisions, charter schools, private/independent schools and education recruiting agencies) participate to recruit for full-time & summer positions.  For full details click here.

Registration is now open for Opportunities in Urban Education: Making a Difference in Richmond, VA.  The event, held on February 27 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., is a panel discussion moderated by CEHD Dean, Mark Ginsberg.  His guests will be former Virginia Secretary of Education and current Visiting Education Policy Professor, Anne Holton, and Levar Stoney, Mayor of Richmond.  Their discussion will center upon:

• Challenges and opportunities for educators in an urban setting such as Richmond
• Richmond’s efforts to improve the lives of its youth in and out of the classroom
• How graduates of CEHD and other top Virginia teacher preparation programs play a pivotal role in these efforts
• Why Richmond is an ideal place to live and create an impactful career in education
