Food insecurity is an issue that affects many college students, often silently. If you are struggling with food insecurity, there are resources on campus to support you.
The Patriot Pantry
The Patriot Pantry is dedicated to helping food-insecure students gain access to non-perishable food and hygiene items. As long as you are enrolled in 1 credit at George Mason University and identify as food insecure, you can access the pantry. To access the pantry order form, use the following link: ssac.gmu.edu/patriot-pantry/. The Patriot Pantry is located in Student Union Building 1, Room 3011 on the Fairfax campus. Orders can be picked up between 7:30 AM – 10 PM. For additional questions and information, please contact the Patriot Pantry at [email protected].
University Sustainability
University Sustainability, under Facilities & Campus Operations, maintains three sites at George Mason that grow fresh food, namely the President’s Park Hydroponic Greenhouse, and the Potomac Heights Organic Vegetable Garden.
