De-Stress Day

Welcome to CEHD De-Stress Day!

We know that CEHD students work HARD and we are so proud of you for that! But all work and no play makes you unbalanced, unhealthy, and ultimately unsuccessful!

It’s important to recognize the signs of stress in your daily life and to work to prevent and overcome feelings of anxiety and pressure. The good news: stress management is a skill you can learn and it’s actually fun. We hope you will take the time with us today to pause, take stock of your well-being and your habits, and DE-STRESS for SUCCESS!

We hope you can join us in person for these De-Stress Day events:

De-Stress Express:
10:00 – 1:00 pm (or while supplies last), Thompson Hall, outside of Suite 2200
Stop by the table outside of Suite 2200 for some simple de-Stress supplies you can take to-go and use at your leisure.

DeStress with CEHD:
3:00 – 6:00 pm, Thompson Hall lobby
Our famous mulled cider is back! Stop by for a cup of cozy, some calming activities, and all the best de-stress vibes from the CEHD Student Success team.

Listen to the De-Stress Playlist

Music has benefits for your brain! Your choice of tunes can energize, aid in concentration, or relax you. Try adding your own personal soundtrack to your activities. Looking to unwind? Try our De-Stress Day Playlist.

Color yourself happy!

Download a coloring page and take some time for yourself! Believe it or not, the act of coloring a picture is similar to meditation and can calm the fear center of the brain, the amygdala. Self-care + fridge art? Yes, please!

Time to Exhale

Lower your stress instantly with 30 seconds of controlled breathing exercises. Breathe in time with the movement of the circles.

The Canine Unwind

Even virtually, pets can help us to decompress and simplify our lives. It’s pretty hard to look at pics of puppies and not crack a smile. Give it a try!
