CEHD Student Success Advisory Board

The CEHD Student Success Advisory Board was established in 2023 to provide faculty and staff with insight into the needs of the CEHD student body. Advisory Board members demonstrate strong leadership skills to support them in fulfilling the diverse duties of the role, such as serving as representatives of their programs, assisting with CEHD signature events and functions, creating social media content, and planning events for the college.

One thing I love about being a student in CEHD is the people. Everyone is so welcoming and has made the adjustment from Ohio to Virginia smoother than I could imagine and I am so grateful for that.

One hope I have for the CEHD Student Success Advisory Board is that we are able to begin to bridge the gap between the different colleges on the Science and Technology campus, as well as the ones between the main campus and branch schools.

One thing I love about being a student in CEHD is meeting the professors and hearing about their experiences on the impact they made at local, state, and national levels. They inspire me to become an advocate for issues I believe need to be addressed which is our development and well-being! 

One hope I have for the CEHD Student Success Advisory Board is for us to create bridges in CEHD by providing opportunities to learn more about each other regarding our diverse professional backgrounds so that we can create a community that inspires us to connect, network, and collaborate.

One thing I love about being a student in CEHD is how different the college is and the unique experiences I have gained throughout my time within CEHD and my specific program of TEM. I am always seeing new opportunities thanks to my major and new ways to help the school grow.  

One hope I have for the CEHD Student Success Advisory Board is to expand the reach and community of CEHD to all of the major departments involved and create a web of knowledge and networking for students involved in CEHD.
