CALLING ALL CEHD DOCTORAL STUDENTS!
The PhD in Education Student Organization (PESO) invites you to participate in the inaugural
“Nuts and Bolts” Professional Development Conference.
Join PESO on Saturday March 2 for this exciting conference focused on equipping students with the tools to enrich their doctoral experience and aid them through their academic journey. Formal check-in and networking will begin in the HUB from 12:00 pm – 12:45 pm, followed by three 1-hour blocks of professional development sessions.
During the conference students will have the opportunity to choose which session they are interested in attending during each block. These breakout sessions are hosted by CEHD Faculty, campus partners, and fellow doctoral students. Topics of these sessions include grant writing, getting published, exploring education jobs in the government, tips for networking at professional conferences, Zotero, the IRB process, the academic job search process, conquering the portfolios, and more! Details of the sessions are still being finalized and new sessions will be added. Click agenda below to view breakout session times and descriptions.
For those interested in making the whole day productive, students can opt into uninterrupted writing in the HUB space from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm before the conference begins. Students can arrive anytime between that time period with their laptops and materials to knock some writing out!
Register for Nuts and Bolts by Wednesday, February 27. Check back here to see updates on break out session titles and descriptions. PESO and the presenters are looking forward to seeing you there!
